Warren, NH Reuben S. Greene, 76, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at his home. He was born in Meredith, NH, March 13, 1936, the son of Joseph F. and Dorothy (Byron) Greene. In his younger years, Rueben worked in the construction field. He was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He also delivered and mixed paint, worked for the National Forest Service, and for the Warren Transfer Station. He loved harness racing and had owned and raced a few horses of his own. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening and Sunday visits with his close friends from town. He also enjoyed boating, camping, and traveling in his younger years. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Greene in 2009; his parents, Joseph F. and Dorothy (Byron) Greene; a sister, Shelby Dyer; and a brother, Wendell H. Green who was killed in action in Korea in 1950. Survivors include ten children, Ronnie Everett his best friend of Warren, NH, Wendell Greene and wife Shannon of Hillsborough, NH, Ginny LaRochelle and husband David of Hillsborough, NH, Donald Everette and wife Susan of Madisonville, TN, Melissa Brigham and husband Vernon of Warren, Tina Grant and husband David of Marlboro, MA, Joseph F. Greene and wife Tammy of Whitehall, OH, Kim Bisson of Warren, Keith Greene and wife Colleen of Holden, MA, and Reuben Greene, Jr. of Warren; 28 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Pearle Weston of Mexico, ME; a brother, John Green and wife Teresa of Coco, FL; and several nieces, nephews who were all very dear to him. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 12th, at 2 PM in the Demerritt Cemetery, West Peru, Maine. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one s choice. .
