Woodsville, NH-  Richard William Demick, 89, died on Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH.

Richard was born in Newbury, VT, June 16, 1929, the son of George Nelson and Annie B. (Clark) Demick.

He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from February 19, 1951 to January 30, 1953 and was transferred to the Army Reserves where he served until his Honorable Discharge on December 31, 1956.  Richard married Therecia M. "Rita" Lindholm on June 23, 1955.  He worked as a railroad station agent for the Boston and Maine Railroad for many years.  Richard was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Woodsville.

He was predeceased by his wife, Therecia M. "Rita" Demick on July 11, 2011.  He was also predeceased by a sister, Lois Fowler and three brothers, Kenneth C., George M., and Nelson Demick.

Richard is survived by two sons, Steven A. Demick and wife Mary Louise of Medway, MA and Lawrence M. Demick and wife Ruth of Newbury, VT; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville.
