Richard A. Vance, 84, of Groton, Vermont passed away on Sunday September 29, 2024, at his home.

He was born in Groton, Vermont on June 25, 1940, son of the late George H. and Theresa (Legare) Vance, and had been a resident of Groton for the past 29 years. Richard was a self-employed logger. He was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Susan (Libby) Vance of Groton; his children, Judith G. Henrikson of Chester, NH; Bonnie Vance of Cumberland, ME and husband Dana Belisle, and their children Brooks, Gabe and Mariah; Richard (Rick) Vance, Jr., and his wife Melissa of Bath, NH, and his son Joshua and two great grandchildren Logan and Charlotte, and one brother Stuart Vance of Florida, as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his half brother George (Sparky) Vance, his sister Anita (Vance) Klucking and his two brothers Hollis Vance and William (Billy) Vance, and a son-in-law Carl Henrikson.

Services will be held privately.
