Richard A. Wescott Sr., 45, of Wells River, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Born in Burlington, Vermont, Richard was the son of Richard A. Metivier Sr. and Linda L. Wescott. He spent his formative years in the Wells River and Woodsville areas, attending Oxbow High School.

Richard dedicated many years to local construction, a trade he mastered with skill and dedication. More recently, he ventured to Oregon, where he embraced the challenging life of a commercial fisherman.

He is survived by his loving mother, Linda Perkins, and her husband, Mike, of Wells River, Vermont; five sons, Harley Wescott of Wells River, Ricky Vinnacomb of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, and Braxton and Gunner Wescott, both of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He also leaves behind a sister, Lisa Santiago and her husband Javier of Wells River, Vermont; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Richard was predeceased by his father, Richard A. Metivier Sr.; a son, Hunter Wescott; and a sister, Judith LaFramboise.
