Woodsville, NH Therecia Marita Rita Demick, 89, of Wilson Avenue, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH. She was born in Pargas, Finland, March 14, 1922, the daughter of Albin and Naima (Davidson) Lindholm. Rita married Richard William Demick on June 23, 1955. She worked in the shoe shop in Woodsville during the 1960 s. Rita was a volunteer for the Red Cross as a teenager. She was a member of St. Luke s Episcopal Church in Woodsville and was the treasurer and secretary of the St. Luke s Altar Guild. Rita was also the sexton of St. Luke s for many years. She was predeceased by a sister, Margot Malool in December 2005. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard W. Demick of Woodsville; two sons, Steven A. Demick and wife MaryLouise of Medway, MA and Lawrence M. Demick and wife Ruth of Newbury, VT; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Birgit Eklund of Finland, Eida Hooley of Montana, and Aura Koskinen of Finland; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, at the convenience of the family.
