North Haverhill, NH -  Rita Louise Nickles, 89, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH.

She was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Bennett and Rita (Hanks) Miller.

She married Raymond Frederick Nickles on July 4, 1953 and together they had four children, Laura, Raymond Jr., Mark, and James.

Rita was a receptionist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for over 20 years.  She enjoyed her cat "Ollie," crocheting, and handwork.  Rita loved time spent with her family, grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Frederick Nickles, Sr. on September 8, 2012; a son, Raymond F. Nickles, Jr. on December 7, 2014; and a sister, Bette Hudson.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Rodimon and husband Frank of Piermont; two sons, Mark Nickles and wife Shirley of North Haverhill, and James Nickles and wife Beulah of St. Johnsbury, VT; a daughter-in-law, Laura Nickles of Haverhill, NH; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one expected this summer; a brother-in-law, Raymond C. Nickles and wife Georgia of Benton, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial graveside service will be on Thursday, May 30, at 12 PM, at the Sawyer Cemetery, Bradford, VT with Rev. George Hemway from the Trinity Church of the Nazarene officiating.
