Obituary

Pike, NH Robert Charles Foote, 79, died February 14, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Concord, NH, November 23, 1929, the son of Charles R. and Lena F. (Huckins) Foote. He served in the U.S. Air Force, 7350th Base Complement Squadron from November 26, 1946 until his discharge on January 18, 1952. Bob married Maureen E. Prusia on April 11, 1952. Bob worked most of his life as a printer for many printing companies in the area, including Steinhauer Printers in Lunenburg, VT, Equity Publishing in Orford, NH and Harrison Printers in Sugar Hill, NH. He retired from the White River Junction Post Office. He was a member VFW Post # 5245 of North Haverhill, American Legion Ross-Wood Post # 20 of Woodsville, and was 32nd degree member of the Grafton-Kane Lodge # 46 F&AM of North Haverhill. He was a member of the Bethany Congregational Church, Canaan Lions Club, and a former member of the Haverhill School Board. He was predeceased by his sister, Grace E. McAuly. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Maureen of Pike; daughter Kelly L. Holmes and husband Robert of Canaan, NH; three grandsons Robert E. Holmes, III, John G. Holmes, and David J. Holmes; two step grandchildren, Christopher Holmes and Carl Holmes; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Holmes and Aly Holmes. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Thursday, February 19, at 3 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH with Rev. Jane Wilson, pastor of Bethany Congregational Church, Pike officiating.
