Obituary

Haverhill, NH – Robert Earl Fillinger, Jr., of Dartmouth College Highway, departed this world on Sunday, June 19, 2022, in the peaceful comfort of his own home.

Robert entered this world on February 15, 1953, welcomed by his parents Wilma Fern (Stimson) and Robert Fillinger, Sr.

A quote found in Bobby's papers which expresses his faith in God:

"God was all complete, all-blessed in himself; but it was His will to create a world for His glory. He is almighty and might have done all things Himself; but it has been His will to bring about His purposes by the beings He has created. We are all created to His glory-we are created to do his will."  (John Henry Cardinal Newman)   Robert was created to do something or to be something for which no one else was created; Robert has a place in God's counsels, in God's world, which no one else has;  whether he was rich or poor, despised or esteemed by man. God knew him and called Robert Fillinger, Jr by name.

Marshall Jones, Bobby's close and dear friend says:  "My dear friend did God's work that he was put here for, he kept me on the path to Jesus and never relented. His Bible was very used and he always read it daily. I miss him so much and can't wait to see him again in God's domain."

In addition to his love for God's Word, he loved God's creation and spent many hours working his land in Glencliff, New Hampshire. During his early years he built a log cabin by himself. It was a work inspired by God. It was hard to imagine how one man could build such a magnificent structure. Unfortunately, it burned several years ago.  Bobby loved his dogs and was specially fond of his dog Isa who was a faithful companion for many years.

Robert is survived by his partner, Marshall Jones. His surviving siblings David (Karen), Donna, Joy (Charlie) and Sharon (Barton) love him and will miss him very much.
