Bradford, VT- Roger J. Courtemanche, 88, passed away on Friday, September 30 th at the Jack Byrne Center.
Roger was born on December 31 st , 1933, in Hanover, NH to Napoleon and Louise (Roberts) Courtemanche. He graduated from Hartford High School and went on to join the Army.
He met his wife, Louise Wyman and they were married on January 23 rd , 1954.
Roger knew how to work; it was something he took pride in and enjoyed the most. He owned and operated the Chimes and Cooties Restaurants, aka Hungry Bear, with his wife, Louise. Roger enjoyed a long second career selling real estate. In his free time, he did enjoy visits from his siblings, which often involved a competitive game of parcheesi. He looked forward to family reunions and reminiscing memories, especially of the family farm in Harland, VT. In retirement, Roger did yardwork and grew flowers and berries. He also watched many baseball and football games from the comfort of his recliner.
He is predeceased by his wife, Louise (Wyman) Courtemanche; three sisters, Polly, Claire, and Marjorie; and two brothers, Donald, and Raymond Courtemanche.
He is survived by his son, Brian Courtemanche and wife Julie of Bradford, VT; daughter, Denise Gove and husband Graham of Bradford. VT; three brothers, Robert Courtemanche of Port Charlotte, FL, Carl Courtemanche of Apache Junction, AZ, and Walter Courtemanche of Lebanon, NH; two sisters, Jean O'Neil of White River, VT and Marilyn Gates of White River, VT; four grandchildren, Melissa Farb, Stephanie Ehmann, Hillary Gove, and Arron Courtemanche; six great grandchildren, Emma Courtemanche, Makayla Courtemanche, Addison Farb, Nathan Farb, Wesley Ehmann, and Dylan Ehmann; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former colleagues..
