McIndoe Falls, VT – Roger Wayne Kendall, 68, passed away at home with family by his side, on Tuesday January 9, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1955, in St. Johnsbury, VT, to the late Hazel (Williams) Pearl and the late Ernest W. Kendall.
Roger attended Barnet School from Kindergarten through 8th grade, he spent some time at Peacham High School before completing high school at Blue Mountain Union, class of 1973. His working career began at Grossman's in North Haverhill, NH, before moving on to various plumbing and heating businesses, and then ending his working career at Appalachian Supply which is the job he retired from in 2021.
He was a Son of the American Legion, post #30 American Legion of Lyndonville. He liked to go to the Oxford Casino, and was a NASCAR fan, specifically Dale Earnhardt #3 and later Little E.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Hazel, his stepfather Russell Pearl, and his brother Maurice Kendall, all of McIndoe Falls.
He is survived by his girlfriend Sheila Dodge of McIndoe Falls, VT; his daughter Katherine Kendall and partner Jason Sanville, of Winter Haven, FL; his son Kevin Kendall and wife Tiffany of West Barnet, VT; his grandchildren, Alaina, Alivia and Kaeson Kendall from West Barnet, VT; his siblings, Richard E. Kendall of Monroe, NH, Linda Peak of St. Johnsbury, VT, William Kendall and wife Sandy of Wells River, VT, and Susan Blaisdell and husband Steven of McIndoe Falls, VT; and he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 5 – 7 PM.
There will be a graveside in the spring at McIndoe Cemetery on Friday May 10, 2024, at 10AM.
