Obituary

Rose Marie Welch, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2025, while residing at the Grafton County Nursing Home in New Hampshire.
Born on March 1, 1943, in Glens Falls, New York, Rose was the beloved daughter of Mary Effie Brown (née Wheeler) and Warren Earl Brown. She grew up in New Hampshire and was a proud graduate of Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH.
A woman of many talents and passions, Rose lived a life full of joy and simple pleasures. She found happiness in square dancing, cooking, bingo, arts & crafts, and traveling. She loved planning—and attending—parties and rarely passed up a chance to go out to eat with friends. She loved spending time each year at the Haverhill Fair and enjoyed the ox pulling in particular. A lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and John Wayne, Rose's vibrant spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Over the years, Rose worked as a seamstress at Carter & Churchill, as a baker at a restaurant in Bradford, VT, and as a cook at the Grafton County Nursing Home—where she would eventually return as a resident in her later years.
Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl Welch, and later found love and companionship again with her partner, Paul Williams, who also preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Gray and Rita Ryan, and her brother, Daniel Brown.
She is survived by sisters Joyce Greene of Florida and Irene Heath of New Hampshire, brother William "Bill" Brown of New Hampshire, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Rose will be remembered for her creativity and vibrant personality. She will be deeply missed.
