Orford, NH-  Royden Wayne "Roy" Daisey, 72, of Indian Pond Road, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Hanover Terrace, Hanover, NH.

Roy was born in Wilmington, DE, on September 18, 1944, to Harry and Myrtle (Chase) Daisey.

Roy enlisted in the Army National Guard on April 1, 1962 and received his Honorable Discharge on September 30, 1968.  He served with Company A 2nd Battalion, 172nd Armor of Bradford, VT, as a tank driver.

Roy worked as an over the road tractor trailer driver and as a school bus driver in the Newbury, VT area.  He served as the animal control officer in Orford and Lyme and was the groundskeeper and security person at Camp Merriwood in Orford.

Roy was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and camping.  He especially enjoyed traveling to the Coast for clamming and crabbing.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Pike) Daisey, of Orford, to whom he was married on May 5, 1990.  He is also survived by three children, Harry Daisey and wife Shannon of Littleton, NH, Lisa Daisey of Dalton, NH, and Anthony Daisey, Sr. and wife Giavanna of Dalton, NH; three step-children, Margaret Stearns and husband Brent, Bruce Taylor and wife Lisa, and Tim Taylor and wife Jenn, all of Orford; a grandson, Brandon Taylor, whom he and Gloria have raised, of Orford; his mother in law Helen Pike of Orford, fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three brothers, Ernie Daisey and wife Helen of Orford, Richard Daisey and wife Donna of Barrington, NH, and Allen Daisey and wife Linda of Belmont, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 17 at 1 PM in the East Cemetery, Orford, with Rev. Gail Dimick, officiating.
