Lisbon, NH-  Russell E. Tattersall, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully at Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Russell was born on March 10, 1940 in Lisbon to Ray and Madelyn (Fenoff)Tattersall.  He was raised in Lisbon and Woodsville and attended the local public schools.

For most of his life, Russell worked in the woods as a logger.  He had also worked as a farmhand and was employed at Newman Lumber. A lover of horses, he trained quarter horses.

Russell was an avid sports fan.  In particular he loved racing and being at the track.  He owned his own race cars and participated in late model racing at Riverside in his car #30. He raced coupes at Bear Ridge in his cars #22 and #52 as well as his #52 coupe in Rumney.

Survivors include four children, son Keith Tattersall of Norman, OK, daughter Alice Furber and husband Robert of Lisbon, son Russell Tattersall, Jr. and wife Vicki of Littleton, NH, and son Ray Tattersall and wife Rebecca of Martha's Vineyard, MA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Mardin of Littleton and Sheila Sias of Vermont; a brother, Raymond Tattersall of Lisbon; and many nieces and nephews and close friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Eleanor (Chase) Tattersall in 2000.

Currently, no services are being planned.

Russell's family would like to thank the staff of the Grafton County Nursing Home for the care and support he has received as a resident.
