Ruth Reynolds Lang, 94, formerly of North Monroe, NH, died at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH on November 10, 2011. Ruth was born on April 8, 1917, in Meriden, CT, to John E. and Hannah (Taylor) Reynolds. After graduating from Meriden High School, she attended Meriden Junior College. On August 21, 1943, she married Lyle Gilbert Lang. As long-time residents of Connecticut, they retired to Monroe 30 years ago. Along with being a homemaker, Ruth served as a secretary for the Catholic Cemetery Association in Connecticut and as the secretary for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodsville, NH. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of the Women's Club, and the Parish Council. Ruth was a devoted mother and Nana. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Lyle G. Lang on April 3, 2007 and by a brother, Raymond Reynolds. She is survived by three daughters, Joan I. Lang of Passumpsic, VT, Linda M. Hall and husband Phillip of Monroe and Ann L. Fillion and husband John of Littleton, NH; two sons, John G. Lang and wife Sandy of Monroe and David L. Lang and wife Christine of Wallingford, CT; twelve grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 13 from 2-3 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, November 14 at 9 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville, NH, with Father Jeffrey Statz officiating.
