Peacham, VT Sandra C. Goss, 71, of Church Street, died on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Barnet, VT, March 9, 1940, the daughter of William and Teresa (Hastie) Crowe. Following her mother s death William married Elizabeth Stanton. Sandra graduated from McIndoe Falls Academy. She married James L. Craig on January 17, 1959, and he predeceased her on September 17, 1979. Sandra married Charlie Goss on November 10, 1983. While her children and grandchildren attended Peacham Elementary School, she served as their hot lunch cook for more than 18 years. She was known to be a caregiver in the area. She was a longtime member of the Peacham Congregational Church and Peacham Fellowship. She was an active member in Just-A-Club. Her door was always open for community coffee hour as well as daily scrabble club. Sandy was a great cook who was always ready to provide baked goods for local events and was known for her never empty donut and cookie jars. Her family was very important to her and she attended each and every one of her children s and grandchildren s school functions, whether it be a concert or a sporting event. She was predeceased by her parents and a great grandson. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Charlie Goss of Peacham, VT; four children, Sharon Hunter and husband Mark of Lyndonville, VT, Ronald E. Craig and wife Lori of Peacham, VT, Barb Coutu and husband Greg of Danville, VT, and Brian J. Craig of East Ryegate, VT; Charlie s three children, Rebecca Goss of West Burke, VT, Charles Goss and wife Connie of East Peacham, VT, and Michael Goss of Bradford, VT; twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Crowe and wife Priscilla of Peterborough, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 29 from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. The funeral service will be on Thursday, June 30, at 11 AM at the Peacham Congregational Church with Rev. Dr. Robert A. Potter officiating. Burial will follow at the Peacham Village Cemetery.
