Peacham, VT-  Sandra Lee Greenwood, 65, of  Old County Road, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT, following the onset and complications of a stroke.

Sandra was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on November 27, 1953, to Albert C. and Marilyn (Hagen) Petrie, Sr.

Sandra graduated from Danville High School.  She married Richard P. Greenwood on November 26, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Groton, VT.  Sandra worked for over 30 years for EHV Wiedmann in St. Johnsbury, VT as a fabricator of insulator boards for the transformer industry.

Sandra and Richard lived in Concord, VT until 1998 when they moved to Peacham.  Sandra attended Cross Roads Church in Littleton, NH.  She enjoyed cake decorating, painting, and travelling throughout the United States.  Over the years, climbing in the White Mountains and the mountains of Maine was a passion of hers.   Sandra loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Amriel.  She was enjoyed by and will be fondly remembered by her co-workers.

She was predeceased by her father, Albert C. Petrie, Sr. on October 6, 1991; two brothers, Robert C. Petrie on August 31, 2009 and Albert C. Petrie, Jr. on March 31, 2016.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard P. Greenwood of Peacham, VT; her daughter, Shauna Greenwood and her daughter, Amriel of Big Fork, MT; her son, Eric Greenwood of Peacham, VT; her mother, Marilyn Petrie of Peacham, VT; three sisters, Carol McMullen and husband Cliff of New Gloucester, ME, Sharon Mudge of Beverly Hill, FL, and Lori Taylor and husband Robert of Crystal River, FL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 8, from 9:30 until the funeral service begins at 11:00 at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH with Pastor Mark Clements of the Cross Roads Church, officiating.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held in the summer of 2019 with a date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in honor of Sandra.
