Barnet, VT-  Sharon Gail (Wilkins)  Roy, 70,  of West Barnet Road, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, early Monday morning, April 11, 2016.  She was able to spend her last days at home with her husband of forty-seven years.

Sharon was born in Bristol, CT on November 14, 1945, to Everett and Geraldine (Cross) Wilkins.  On April 5, 1969, she married Gary C. Roy, Sr.

Sharon was an avid bowler with the ladies.  She loved shopping, Christmas, and her camp on Harvey's Lake.  Yet what she loved most of all, was her family.  She was a devoted grandmother, attending all school functions and sporting events.  Her grandchildren were her life.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Geraldine Wilkins and by her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Davis and her husband Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Gary C. Roy, Sr. of Barnet; two children, Laurie Jefferson and husband Mark and Gary C. Roy, Jr. and wife Bobbie, both of Barnet; four grandchildren, Shannon and Jimmy Jefferson and Michaela and Maegan Roy; two sisters, Lorraine Badger of Florida and Patricia Ducker of St. Johnsbury, VT;  a brother, David Wilkins and wife Theresa of Waterford, VT; and Gary's family, David Roy and wife Gail of Westford, VT, Dale Roy and wife Marceya of Peacham, VT, and Judith Peters and husband Gus of Florida; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Friday, April 15 from 6-8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 16 at 3 PM at The Presbyterian Church of Barnet at West Barnet, 279 Main Street, West Barnet, VT, with Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston officiating.

Sharon's family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Cottage Hospital.  They provided excellent care for Sharon throughout the years.
