Corinth, VT – Steven M. Erno, 70, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born to Bernice (Bolio) and Merle Erno on September 10, 1953, in St. Albans, VT.

Steven attended Bellows Falls Academy and graduated with the class of 1971.  He married and had two sons while working various jobs in Connecticut.  He enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged.  In the early 90's he moved to Vermont, where he worked as a truck driver, most recently for Cassella. In 1993 he was wed again, this time to Joanne Cummings, they had a daughter.

He was a fisherman, of both freshwater and deep sea. He was an avid chess player and enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables.  He could also be found in the living room September through January cheering on his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

Steven was predeceased by his wife Joanne Erno on March 1, 2008; his parents Bernice and Merle Erno; and a sister, Diane Bohannon.

He will be remembered by; his children, Jeremy Erno of Corinth, VT, Shane Erno and wife Jennifer of Connecticut, and Michaela Erno and husband Ethan Johnson of Graniteville, VT; his grandchildren, Hadleigh, Chloe and Todd; his brothers, Ernie Erno and wife Kathy of Enosburg, VT, and David Erno of St. Albans, VT; the mother of his two sons, Nerissa Schultz; his beloved dog Zeus; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

There will be a graveside service for Steven at the East Corinth Cemetery on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11 AM, with Pastor Pam Smith serving as Celebrant.
