Obituary

East Ryegate, VT – Susan Jean Minard, 70, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1954, to Anita (Dufraine) and Clifford Minard in Lebanon, NH.

Susan's greatest accomplishment was her family. Her family was her world, especially her grandchildren. She loved to help people in any way she could. She opened her home to many people in need. On Monday and Friday nights she could be found sitting in her recliner watching wrestling. A few years ago, on Wednesday nights, she would be found at the bingo hall setting up all her trinkets and good luck charms. If there were penny sales, yard sales, or free stuff beside the road she would be there. Susan's sense of humor was one of a kind. Playing practical jokes, dancing, looking at the ocean, and collecting Native American items were favorite past times. In her younger years she was a master cake maker, crocheter, quilter, baker and watcher of scary movies. Especially Rumpelstiltskin and Night of the Comet. Susan and all her attributes will be greatly missed by so many.

She is survived by her children; Michael Gusha and his wife Lisa Doan, Christina Jackson, and Amy Minard-Loiselle and her husband David J. Loiselle, Sasha Emerson and her husband Paul, and Antwyne Denny.; her grandchildren, Leigha and husband Dylan, Natasha, Samuel, Terrance, Savannah, Ty-Lynn, Gabriella, Abigail, Schala, Daisy and Damiyeon; her great-grandchildren, Josiah, Janiyah, Jakiyah and Jedidiah; her siblings, Richard Spaulding and Barbra Bouchard; as well as three nieces and two nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Francis Minard; her grandson Brandon McKinstry; her parents Anita and Clifford Minard, Sr.; her brother, Clifford Minard, Jr.; two nephews, and one great niece.

On behalf of Susan's family, we would like to thank those who were part of Mom's life.
