Piermont, NH- Sylvia Bertha Robertson, 99, formerly of Piermont, died on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH. Sylvia was born on March 29, 1912, in Newport, VT, to William and Bertha (Smith) Spencer. She graduated from Danville High School, Class of 1930. She married Paul Robertson on April 23, 1937. Sylvia was a member of the Order of Iona-Lafayette OES of North Haverhill. She enjoyed all sorts of handwork, gardening, reading and cooking. She will be affectionately remembered as a caring mother and friend. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Paul Robertson on November 28, 2000 and by a granddaughter, Kim Ash. She is survived by four children, Neil Robertson and wife Agnes of Campton, NH, Polly Marvin and husband Bernie of Piermont, Marian Dunn and husband John of Enfield, NH, and William J. Robertson and life partner Joan Moskalenko of Lebanon, NH; five grandchildren, Wendy, Bernie, Spencer, Michael, and Andrew; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be on May 19th, at 10 AM at the South Lawn Cemetery, Piermont, with Rev. David Moore, officiating.
