Haverhill, NH- Ted William VanKleef, Sr., 78, of Pine Park, died on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH.
Ted was born in Lansing, MI on April 12, 1941 to Richard and Isabel (Harding) VanKleef. He attended trade school in Massachusetts and became a Master Plumber. He owned and operated his own plumbing, heating, and electrical business in Pittsburg, NH.
Ted spent 22 years in Pittsburg prior to moving to Haverhill in 2009. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and ocean fishing. A favorite pastime was taking Sunday drives and stopping for ice cream along the way. He loved his dogs and cats and of course, his family. His family would like to extend a special thanks to the many folks he has met over the years.
His is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy (Avery) VanKleef, to whom he was married on June 13, 1987. Also surviving are his children, Debra VanKleef of Virginia Beach, VA, Ted W. VanKleef, Jr. of Brockton, MA, Stephen VanKleef of Maui, HI, Laurie VanKleef and Lonnie VanKleef both of Cape Cod, MA; a step daughter, Bonney Martinez of Arizona and step son, Philip Decker of North Conway, NH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Harold VanKleef of Cape Cod.
A calling hour will be on Wednesday, November 20 th from 12 noon to 1 PM with a funeral service at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. Melissa Gould, Funeral Celebrant, will lead the service.
Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Holderness, NH in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
