Haverhill, NH Dr. Terrill Lynn Brown, DDS, Captain U. S. Navy DC retired, of Mt. Moosilauke Highway, 62, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, October 14, 1948, the son of Francis Edward and Phyllis R. (McComb) Brown. Terrill graduated from Albion Central High School in Albion, Indiana, Class of 1966. He served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1973 during the Viet Nam War. Terrill married Brenda Bryan on July 31, 1971. He graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN, Class of 1979. He had two years post degree in Comprehensive Dentistry from Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland from 1991 to 1993. Terrill was commissioned by the U.S. Navy and served from 1985 until his retirement in 2006. He served during the Persian Gulf War. Terrill earned his Master Masons Degree on June 18, 1971 from the Albion Shrine of Albion, Indiana. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Body of Indiana and Mizpah Shrine Temple of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Terrill is currently a member of Cohase Lions Club, Gold Foil Dentistry Club, and was a diplomat in the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire Dental Society, and Grafton Sullivan Dental Society. Terrill and Brenda moved from Connecticut to New Hampshire in 2006 when he retired from U.S. Navy. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, UCC. He enjoyed trains and had a great passion for gardening and the outdoors. He was predeceased by his father, Francis Edward Brown in 1991. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Brenda Brown of Haverhill; two daughters, Jocelyn Libros and husband Adam of Simsbury, CT and Meghann White and husband Brian of Manchester, NH; one granddaughter, Clare White; his mother, Phyllis R. Brown of Albion, IN; two sisters, Annetta Ropp and husband Mikel of Elkhart, IN and Angela Brown of Kansas City, KS; three brothers, Ormin Brown and wife Sherry of San Antonio, TX, Trumin Brown and wife Debbie of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Darrell Brown of Elkhart, IN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Calling hours will be Monday, July 18, from 6 to 8 PM, with a Masonic Service at 7:45, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 19, at 11 AM, at the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, UCC , 122 School Street, Haverhill, with Rev. Dr. Terri Young officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, July 20, at 11 AM at the New Hampshire Veteran s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
