Woodsville, NH – Thelma Jean Douglas, 95, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover, NH. She was born in Haverhill, NH, June 22, 1917, the youngest of three children of John D. and Mary Anne (McCloud) Douglas. As a younger adult, Thelma helped as a caregiver for families in and around Sugar Hill, NH. Thelma worked for over 20 wonderful years at the Adams Paper Company in Wells River, VT. She always loved to have children around. She was dedicated to her parents and enjoyed all the special times with them. Thelma spent many hours on her front porch watching the birds in the bird bath and feeders. The family would like to acknowledge all of her home care providers and the Horse Meadow Senior Meals Program, for all they did for Thelma over the past few years. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Douglas; a niece and nephews. She is survived by a niece, Jackie Moore and her husband Roland of Woodsville; a nephew, David Douglas of Marlborough, MA; a cousin, Glenora McCloud James of Hastings, FL; a dear friend, Joyce Beckley of Woodsville and her family; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
