North Haverhill, NH- Thomas E. Abbotts, III, 81, of Dartmouth College Highway, died following a period of declining health on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Tom was born on October 9, 1934, in Bridgeport, CT, to Thomas Evans and Antoinette M. (Violet) Abbotts. He was a graduate of Staples High School, Westport, CT, and served in the US Air Force. Tom was employed as an air traffic controller at Washington National Airport, Washington, DC, Logan International Airport, Boston, MA, and the FAA Center, Nashua, NH. On May 23, 1981, he married Cynthia A. Cook. In 1983, they retired to New Hampshire, first residing in Ashland, Rumney, and Lyme, before moving to North Haverhill. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia Abbotts of North Haverhill; four children, Thomas Abbotts, Virginia Abbotts, Michael Abbotts and wife Shannon, and James Abbotts; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Antoinette "Honey" Hunt of Chandler, AZ. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Tuesday, November 10 at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, with Rev. Clint Brake, officiating.
