Our beloved mother Wanda L. "Durrell" McInnis passed away at Grafton County Nursing Home on Tuesday September 13, 2022, after a five month stay, due to complications of dementia.

Wanda loved the simple things in life. She loved her family, all animals, and spending time on her huge front porch watching the world go by. She loved to play canasta for hours. By far her favorite hobby before her illness was cooking. She also cooked as a professional in almost any of the restaurants in the area from the old Whistle Stop to the grand Lincoln Hotel.

Wanda was born on July 2, 1934, in North Woodstock, NH, which is where she stayed until she made the big move to Lincoln, NH, to raise her son and daughter, when she married Joseph McInnis Sr.

Wanda was loved and will be missed by so many. She may never know the reach of her kindness over the years, cooking for families in their time of need.

Wanda is predeceased by her husband Joe "Chief" McInnis, Sr.; her brother, Clayton "Dizzy" Jackson Durrell; and recently, her brother, Roland "Rolly" Durrell.

She is survived by her son, Joseph McInnis, Jr., and daughter, Wendy "McInnis" Rand and husband Gil; two grandchildren, Allyson Rand and her husband Patrick Sutton, and Dane Rand and his partner Gail Johns; her sister Juanita Durrell Pierce and her husband Donald; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and recently a sweet grandnephew.

Though she loved having visits from friends and family, Wanda was a private person who liked small gatherings. As such, there will be a very small private burial service at Riverside Cemetery where she will be finally laid to rest with her beloved husband, Joe.
