Obituary

Lyman, NH-  William Wallace "Bill" Lord, 77, of Thorpe Road, died on Friday September 16, 2016, at Country Village Center, Lancaster, NH, following a period of failing health.

Bill was born in Haverhill, NH on November 15, 1938, to Eunice Daniels Lord and Joseph Lord.  On September 5, 1959, he married Lorrel S. "Butchie" Tetreault.

Bill worked for thirteen years on the Erb Farm in Landaff, NH.  He also was employed at the New England Wire Mill as a machine operator for seventeen years.

A large part of Bill's life was spent raising chickens and then selling eggs that he would deliver to his customers in the area.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.  He enjoyed NASCAR, watching western movies, and coin collecting.  He also liked hunting and fishing.

Bill was predeceased by his wife of over 54 years, Lorrell Lord on June 3, 2014; their son, Michael P. Lord on October 1, 2011; and a brother, Edward Lord.

He is survived by four children, Mark Lord and wife Holly of Lyman, Diana Byron and husband David of Littleton, NH, Kevin Lord and Steven Lord both of Lisbon; five grandchildren; three great granddaughters and one great grandson; a sister Patricia Dexter and husband Jay of Dalton, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 22 from 6-8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.

A funeral service will be in Friday, September 23 at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Dexter, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyman Center Cemetery.
